Owning an EV in Ghana

Local insights to help you own and enjoy your EV with confidence.

Charging options in Ghana

Home charging offers the easiest overnight routine when a qualified electrician confirms the property is suitable. Public stations provide backup, support longer trips and serve drivers without dedicated parking. Check the connector and availability before travelling.

Vehicle servicing and support

EVs remove engine oil, exhaust and many combustion-engine parts, but still require tyre, suspension, brake, cooling-system and diagnostic checks. Before buying, confirm parts availability, software support, warranty handling and service expertise for the exact model.

The details that make ownership easier

Battery capacity is measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh). A larger usable battery stores more energy, but range also depends on efficiency, weight, aerodynamics, motor technology and driving conditions.

Think of capacity like a fuel tank: around 40 kWh is compact, 60 kWh is medium-capacity, and 80+ kWh is larger. Bigger is not automatically better—choose what fits your journeys.
